Snowy first graders

10 Inches of Snow in Newell, Iowa

We had 10 inches of snow yesterday so didn't have school. We started 2 hours late this morning. Good morning from a very cold Newell-Fonda first grade. It is 8 below zero this morning.

Dear Friends - My name is Sasha, and I am in the first grade at the Tirana International School in Tirana, Albania.　 I am from South Dakota, but live now in Tirana with my parents.　 I have attached some pictures of me with Flat Stanley in Tirana.　
When you see the picture of the giant statue of the man on a horse, please look carefully at the horse's feet - Flat Stanley is standing next to one of the horse's big hooves!

6 Year Old Friends

This year the 6 Year Old class at Tirana International School and the First Grade class at Newell-Fonda are exchanging letters as pen pals.
